Do I need my own mat?

No, you can use our mats, in time if you like you can buy your own mat.

what kind of clothes should I wear?

A tight shirt and comfortable pants. Socks and shoes are off. Long hair is best tied up in a bun.

It's my first time, what can I expect?

The first time can feel a bit overwhelming, but you are in good hands. A warm instructor will greet you in person and will make you feel at home. You can find a mat of your choice in the calm studio where you can have a seat. Your instructor will take care of you and will guide you throughout the class. All you have to do is be open and surrender to the moment. And use all of your your senses!

is it for men and for women?

Yes it's for men and woman.

Can I bring a friend?

Ofcourse, the more the merrier!
Please make sure that the person you bring fills out a trail class via the website.

how long does a class take?

Every class is an hour. You generally start with a meditation to gain focus on the breath and body. From there the sequences take over, guided by the instructor. While you are moving through the postures, supported by music, the energy builds up and calms down, ending in your last, final posture, a savasana.

What do I need to bring?

We advise you to bring a towel and a bottle of water. If you want you can bring your own mat and or yoga block.

I have a sore back, can I join a class.

Always report soreness or a possible injury to the teacher.

Yoga actually increases your mobility. Your breathing is extremely important when performing yoga exercises. This way, oxygen can flow to the muscles through correct breathing, the tension in your muscles decreases and more space is created in your back. Yoga also strengthens the muscles in the back, so that pain complaints decrease.
